IT HAS BEGUN!!

Last month I ventured off to San Francisco for a month long teacher training in Forrest yoga. I had been doing Forrest yoga before and liked the intensity of the poses and how I felt after class, a little like a newborn deer with trembling legs but with tons of energy. So I decided kind of spur of the moment thing to go and try it . Off I went and soon discovered that this was much like Jedi training. 7 days a week of yoga and learning how to teach poses, correct poses, be able to see peoples weaknesses in their bodies, and learning my own weaknesses mentally and physically. During my trip I made great friends and learned that we are all the same in the end, human.

I returned with and excitement to teach people how to connect with their bodies and rehabilitate from past injuries or release tension stored in their muscles from years of stress.

My interest in yoga sprung from doing Martial Arts and observing how we use our bodies in that environment and how to create a stretching class for martial arts. I personally got injured and decided to take a yoga class for realignment and it made a huge difference. I started teaching segments of my Forrest Yoga class, taught by Steve Emmerman, to my martial arts friends and people mentioned that they were seeing improvements in their flexibility and reduction in injury. This made me feel great, and I became addicted to helping people after class.

Here I am! I am now teaching classes in my photo studio and really enjoying hearing how great people feel after class.
